A major new version of Gephi was released in early May 2026. As a result, the Gephi workflow and interface used throughout the course changed, making previous tutorials partially obsolete.

To ensure continuity for alumni and allow you to continue using Gephi efficiently for scenario-building and strategic foresight, The Red Team Analysis Society has fully revised and updated the Gephi tutorial package for the course.

This update package includes three completely revised tutorials, including workflow guidance adapted to the new Gephi software.

The package is designed to help alumni:

• transition smoothly to the new version of Gephi,
• maintain compatibility with the course methodology,
• continue building scenarios efficiently,
• and deepen the practical use of Gephi for strategic foresight and warning.

A – Using Gephi

A completely revised and enhanced introduction to the new Gephi environment and workflow, including:

• workspace organisation,
• menus and settings,
• plugins,
• graph management,
• visualisation,
• layouts,
• graph creation,
• interoperability with yEd,
• management of large graphs with the use of filters (NEW),
• and first analytical uses of a graph.

B – From Gephi to yEd Graph

Workflow tutorial to transfer graphs from Gephi to yEd for analytical and modelling purposes.

C – Revisited Influence Analysis

Tutorial dedicated to using centrality measures notably for the proper selection of key variables (factors) for scenario building.
