- Flexible Format — Tutoring can be scheduled as one-to-one sessions or group seminars (max. 5 participants).
- Integration with Courses — Participants complete the online modules at their own pace, then meet with Dr. Lavoix via Zoom to deepen understanding, refine exercises, and work on their own project. Sessions focus on your project and progress.
- Tailored to Your Needs — Sessions can be arranged weekly, bi-weekly, or as intensive blocks, depending on availability and objectives. Length and number of sessions are arranged according to your needs. This can evolve with time.

Course 1 – Anticipate the Future: Build Your Strategic Model for Geopolitical Risk and Crisis
- Tutoring covers: selecting your issue of concern, analysis, building a model.
- Output: a developed model – Causal Knowledge Graph – of your selected issue (the size and completion of the model depends on the involvement of the trainee(s) and the working time they devote to the task; your Causal Knowledge Graph can be reviewed and validated if desired – see below).

Course 2 – Anticipate the Future: Build Your Scenarios for Geopolitical Risk and Crisis
- Tutoring covers: selecting influential variables, building a scenario tree, defining indicators, assessing scenarios probabilities, writing scenario narratives.
- Output: a scenario tree and selected scenario narratives (your scenario set can be reviewed and validated if desired – see below).
Advanced tutoring beyond the courses
Once the online courses are mastered, tutoring may cover topics not included in the online courses, such as using your model for warning, estimating the probability of a warning, warning products, preparing a warning brief, creating a dynamic temporal network or dynamic graph, using your model (Caudal Knowledge Graph) and your scenarios for policy recommendations, etc.

Learning path:
- You Develop: After having completed the corresponding units of the course, and your first live tutoring session(s), you work independently to research, build, and draft your model (Causal Knowledge Graph) or scenarios.
- You Submit: You send your draft deliverable (e.g. from the first take at your model /Causal Knowledge Graph to your fully developed complex graph, scenario tree, probability assessment) to Dr. Lavoix for review.
- We Analyze: Dr. Lavoix conducts a thorough analysis of your work offline. This is not a simple markup but a deep dive into your logic, structure, and conclusions.
- We Validate: You receive detailed, annotated feedback and a dedicated live session (via Zoom) to discuss the findings, answer your questions, and strategize next steps for refinement.
